Duties
Ensure team understands assignments, projects, problem solving, actionable events, milestones, program compliance to established regulations and policies assigned in area of responsibility (AOR)
Manage all phases of the engineering operation and the business operations section that include the day to day direction of the technical functions required for maintenance and repair.
Participate fully with DPW Director, Deputy Commander to formulate goals, policies, and objectives for the command regarding facilities operations and maintenance.
Serve as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for multiple facility and service contracts to ensure contract performance work statements are up to date.
Provide detailed cost estimates for all requested work in support of planning and programming efforts.
Supervise a multi-disciplinary team by directing, evaluating and overseeing their work performance.
Manage all aspects of your team thru work performance, complaints, disciplinary and hiring new employees.
Apply facility expertise in the areas of operations, maintenance, repair and assignments to determine the information required to accurately portray contractors' efforts to comply.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
- Pre-employment and random drug testing is required
- Must submit an OGE-450 Financial Disclosure Statement upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- Must be willing to wear employer provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Must obtain and maintain Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification.
- A one year Supervisor probationary period is required if not already completed
- This is a Mission Essential position.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license
Qualifications

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes: 1) coordinating and/or leading a wide variety of complex and/or major work requirements reviewing, and managing facilities sustainment, repair and maintenance, construction projects, and service contracts for a wide variety of clients; 2) providing supervision, leadership and direction to subordinate facilities operations specialists by delegating specific authority to carry out their respective responsibilities while establishing employee performance standards, conducting performance appraisals, and establishing leave schedules and approval guidelines. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
