You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORPS ENGINEER SCHOOL of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will maintain Accuracy of Basic, Intermediate, and Supervisory level Curriculum.
You will update courseware, curricula, and the classroom environment as required by keeping abreast of emerging tactics, techniques and procedures, doctrinal changes, and fielding of new equipment.
You will validate course content, training and readiness manual tasks, course descriptive data, and master lesson files.
You will participate as a member on the Course Content Review Board (CCRB).
You will serve as subject matter expert of curriculum development for Basic, Intermediate, and Supervisory-level courses.
You will make recommendations for manpower, equipment, facility, and training support requirements.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Must comply with the instructions for curriculum developers contained in NAMC 1553.2, which requires a minimum of completion of the Curriculum Developers Course.
- Incumbents starting and ending times will vary daily and may occasionally exceed 40 hours a week.
- May occasionally be tasked to perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing instructional support for formal Programs of Instruction (POI) under the functional control of the Company Commander.

Education
The following education can be substituted for specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
A Combination of education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level.
