You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the G-7 Division of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.
Duties
You will operate a learning management system in support of formal and informal self-study learning experience requirements.
You will collaborate with learning designers, learning facilitators, and learning assessors to define and plan technology enabled learning experience development requirements to include accountability measures and tracking mechanisms
You will design, coordinate, create, trial, and integrate interactive online self-paced exercises (such as using HTML 5 design tools) in Moodle or similar learning management systems.
You will design, coordinate, develop, validate, and integrate interactive e-books for learning (including bringing together reading materials, videos, knowledge checks, discussion threads)
You will enroll learners and faculty in courses within a learning management system.
You will create courses and post materials in a learning management system in web-based video repositories and/or in web-based file repositories
You will serve as liaison with outside agencies on enabling learning matters.
You will contribute to learning design projects and working groups oriented on learning programs and organizational learning.
You will design and create simulation scenarios within the Deployable Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) program or similar.
You will investigate potential or existing training to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to develop recommendations on significant matters affecting training programs.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
GS-11:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in the design and development of digitally enabled learning experiences to support a training program.
GS-12:
I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in developing and leveraging technology to build, integrate, and enable digital learning experiences, and administrating a web-based learning management system for self-study within a formal and informal setting.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
- I have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR
- I have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree OR

- i have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
