You will serve as an EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN (OA) of NAVAL ACADEMY. Salary for the GS-06 position is: $50,326 to $65,425. Salary for the GS-05 position is: $45,146 to $58,686.

Duties

You will compile information or educational material in support of an education program. You will answer routine education inquiries or determine if questions should be referred to subject matter experts. You will prepare written forms, schedules, and reports related to educational programs. You will input information into database for various students, staff and military personnel training requirements.

Qualifications

For the GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting military and civilian educators with data analysis on various topics related to educational programs while conducting teaching load and space availability analysis to assist educators in scheduling faculty and classrooms; 2) Performing assignments involving the collection, analysis, and reporting of data for budget preparation, in addition to maintaining property inventories as appropriate; 3) Reviewing and verifying the validity of requisitions for supplies, services, printing, and equipment; and 4) Receiving and handling a variety of administrative documents supporting course offerings, faculty and staff schedules, and awards. For the GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ???????1) Collecting, organizing, reviewing and processing administrative data to produce documentation (i.e., letters, guest speaker documents, instructional aids, class schedules, and/or examination materials); 2) Reviewing records, forms or files for accuracy and completeness; 3) Reviewing and verifying the validity of requisitions for supplies, services, printing, and equipment; and 4) Managing a variety of administrative documents supporting course offerings, faculty and staff schedules, and awards. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-05 position.
  • Successful completion of four years of education above the high school level;
  • Possessing a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
