This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Inspector General, OIG, Office of Investigation. As an IT Specialist, you will assist in the re-engineering of OIG business operations through the use of the latest technology and expanded data mining and predictive analytics efforts.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Creating complex SQL (structured query language) queries using tools, such as SQL Server Management Studios (SSMS), to manipulate and analyze data; AND Validating the reliability of data; AND Using project management principles, methods, and practices to develop plans and schedules, monitor activities, and report on accomplishments; AND Building software and reports, at the request of management and others, to automate data retrieval and convert the data into actionable information/graphs, which is used in monthly reporting of stats. In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
