You will serve as a Deputy Director Equal Employment Opportunity (DDEEO) in the Human Resources Office (HRO), Business Directorate of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific. You will oversee and direct the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program and serve as subject matter expert and advisor on EEO program initiatives, policies, procedures and discrimination complaint matters.
Duties
You will plan, organize, direct, staff, carry out, review and evaluate a proactive and preventative oriented EEO program that includes efforts to resolve systemic problems within the Command.
You will coordinate the EEO complaints management program from the pre-complaint process through the formal complaint process to the end.
You will formulate and recommend Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR)/ Reasonable Accommodation (RA) objectives policies and procedures and integrate the ADR/RA Programs with other human resources functions.
You will develop and conduct briefings for the Command managers and supervisors to discuss the status of the workforce composition and evaluate organizational accomplishments of Management Directive 715 (MD-715) objectives.
You will provide technical assistance, supervision and leadership guidance to collateral-duty Special Emphasis Program (SEP) managers and define SEP priorities and objectives and establish milestones for accountability and evaluation.
You will develop EEO program instructions and review personnel administrative guidance, practices, procedures, policies, instructions, directives, etc., to ensure EEO program compliance and integration of policies into Command requirements.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Executing and evaluating a civilian federal equal employment opportunity (EEO) program to include advising on the application of equal employment opportunity (EEO) program requirements and developing strategic initiatives and recommendations for senior leaders.
