This position will track the incoming requests from Congress, the White House, and the Department; aid in completing congressional reports and casework; assist in preparation for and follow-up to congressional hearings; assist Members of Congress and their staff concerning program and policy matters and pending legislation; and prepare for Congressional briefings.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications.To qualify for the Grade 12, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11, it must include:
Experience with tracking legislation through the Congressional process.
Experience in promoting an agency or Department's policies, initiatives, and programs.
Experience Analyzing and interpreting regulations and legislation.AND
Experience in utilizing verbal and writing skills to organize and disseminate information.
