The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Configuration and Data Management Specialist and perform specific portions of configuration, data, engineering data, deficiency reporting, airworthiness, and digital materiel management tasks.
Duties
Perform and execute Configuration Management (CM) tasks in the CM discipline areas in CM management planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit in accordance with SAE-649C Configuration Management Standard, and relevant AFLCMC Standard Processes and DoD, and Air Force Reporting (CPAR) feedback.
Perform and execute Data Management (DM) tasks in accordance with relevant AFLCMC Standard Processes and DoD, and Air Force policy, directives, instructions, and military/industry guidance.
Execute Engineering/Technical Data Management (EDM) in accordance with relevant AFLCMC Standard Processes and DoD, and Air Force policy, directives, instructions, and military/industry guidance.
Execute Deficiency Reporting, Investigation, and Resolution (DRI&R) in accordance with relevant AFLCMC Standard Processes and DoD, and Air Force policy, directives, instructions, and military/industry guidance, including T.O. 00-35D-54.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in knowledge of configuration, data, engineering data, deficiency reporting, airworthiness, and digital material management policies and process; ability to write complete and precise contractual language and assess contractor proposals; and ability to plan, organize and conduct briefings change management boards, review boards, and configuration audits. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of configuration, data, engineering data, deficiency reporting, airworthiness, and digital material management policies and processes and the skill and ability to execute CM/DM best practices in a digital ecosystem using digital tools.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to adequately review specifications, engineering drawings/models, and release processes.
Knowledge of data protection processes and data rights regulations; ability to evaluate CUI, STINFO, and Intellectual Property markings for accuracy; and skill to challenge incorrect, non-conforming and non-justified markings.
Knowledge, skill, and ability to write complete and precise contractual language and assess Contractor proposals.
Ability to plan, organize, and conduct briefings, change management boards, review boards, and configuration audits.
Ability and skill to identify discrepancies and develop corrective actions for internally/externally-observed discrepancies.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
