You will serve as a AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST in the AIRTEVRON-31 DUST DEVILS, VX-31 PROJECT LIASON of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will actively direct and coordinate all activities on the aircraft complement to ensure timely project execution. You will participate as a project test team member in aircraft configuration control, data analysis, and project scheduling and coordination. You will assist in planning for the overall objectives and milestones for team leads to help avoid conflicts during test buildup and interprets best test practices using established test plan policies. You will serve as assistant to the Weight and Balance Officer and either performs or supervises all VX-31 aircraft weighing operations. You will serve as a Projects Integration Specialist at VX-31 for all unique RDT and E project test and evaluation installations/configurations on the VX-31 Fighter Attack and Electronic Warfare aircraft inventory

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DS-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Maintaining E/A-18G aircraft and ALQ-99 systems; 2) Releasing aircraft Safe-for-Flight; 3) Determining solutions for technical problems that occur during pre-production, production, operational use, and disposal of equipment for Fleet, multiservice, and foreign military sales (FMS) cases; 4) Providing engineering, logistics support, and monitoring of changes to equipment and systems being produced in government or contractor facilities and technical efforts in support of the deployment of equipment and systems. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
