Serves as a Program Support Assistant that functions as a coordinator, liaison and provide direct support for the Mental Health and Behavioral Science.
Duties
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NO LIMITED TOO :
Collect, compile and track of data and statistical information.
Collaborate and assist in developing, coordinating and implementing a variety of reports, correspondences and control files.
Review, analyze, coordinate, and submit all required monthly, quarterly, Bi-Annual, and annual reports, including frequent Action Items.
Ensure accurate data collection in order to develop and prepare reports.
Scheduling inspections and ensuring timely processing of all documents.
Personally, responds to routine, technical and non-technical requests for information.
Ensures that supervisors are fully briefed on matters to be discussed at meetings and/or conferences.
Prepares a variety of routine correspondence in accordance with regulations or other designated guidance.
Reviews outgoing correspondence for procedural, grammatical, spelling, and contextual accuracy.
Retrieving information from other software systems (e.g., databases, VATAS, VISTA, e-PAS system, spreadsheets, graphics, and word processing), analyzing data for inclusion in reports
Excel spreadsheet tracking and providing information regarding employee and labor relations matters, performing various tasks to assist in administering these programs.
Screens calls and visitors for the service; Determines nature of business and refers directly to the appropriate personnel depending upon subject matter.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/30/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.

Carefully read the following descriptions of the required specialized experience for the position. Your resume must support your response. Applicants must have one (1) full year of specialized experience related to this position. This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service.
Specialized experience: Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: assisting in planning, development, coordination, and implementation of healthcare administrative operations; utilizing various software systems to compile/collect data; performing data analysis, generating reports, and preparing various correspondence; provide training to staff as well as distribute and monitor workload; and preparing reviews, correspondence, and coordinating various meetings.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: The work is both sedentary and, at times, physically challenging. Some physical effort, such as standing, walking, bending, or sitting, or occasionally carrying items (such as mail, records, etc.) of more than 50 pounds, may be required. Work is generally performed in an office setting with adequate light, heat, and ventilation. However, it also includes off-premises tasks related to fund control points.
