For more information please see: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

The incumbent serves as Assistant Lead of the Fort Belvoir MDA Operations Center (MOC) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF), with responsibility for compliance of personnel, procedures, and equipment with associated security requirements. Additionally, the incumbent will coordinate and lead the efforts of assigned military and contractor staff to provide classified and unclassified functionality of the MOC facility and ensures MOC communication capabilities and Missile Defense System situational awareness displays meet MDA senior leader requirements. As a WARFIGHTER STRATEGIC INTEGRATION SPECIALIST at the NH-0301-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Coordinates and leads efforts of assigned military and contractor staff to provide classified/unclassified functionality of HMOC facility and ensures communication capabilities and situational awareness displays meet Senior Leader requirements. Collaborates and coordinates with other MDA Operations Centers (Huntsville and Ft. Belvoir) to maintain situational awareness of the Operational Missile Defense System system readiness and communicates statuses to MDA senior leadership. Coordinates a wide range of warfighter integration activities in support of maximizing global and regional Missile Defense System capabilities. Coordinates collateral duty watch assignments for surge operations during heightened tensions and 24/7 operations may be required. Executes processes and procedures for configuration control, asset management, operational readiness, requests for analysis/information, planning and situational awareness.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the NH-03 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: -Support command operation in a wide range of warfighter integration activities to maximize global and regional Missile Defense System capabilities using peripheral technologies to develop, test and evaluate complex weapons systems, subsystems and materials to resolve practical engineering and operational problems. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
