You will serve as a RADIOLOGICAL EMERGENCY PLANNER in the Commander, Submarine Group 10 of COMSUBGRU10.
Duties
You will assist in supervised development of response plans to an actual or potential naval nuclear reactor plant accident or other NNPP radiological emergency in Kings Bay, GA.
You will assist with the supervised development, review, and approval of NNPP Corporate Emergency Planning Manual and Procedures.
You will assist with the conduct of major nuclear reactor and radiological accident drills and news conference exercises in Kings Bay, GA.
You will assist with the generation of after action reports to capture significant lessons learned from the execution of drills in order to improve the overall emergency planning preparedness in Kings Bay.
You will initiate, prepare, monitor and administer radiological emergency policies and procedures for radiological emergency response in Kings Bay, GA.
You will assist in the development, coordination and evaluation of nuclear reactor accident drill scenarios.
You will interpret and apply policies, regulations, directives, instructions and other procedures governing emergency planning.
You will develop, provide and maintain records for training on radiological emergency response.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience initiating, preparing, monitoring and administering radiological emergency policies and procedures for radiological emergency response.
Experience negotiating and coordinating emergency planning functions with key U.S. military organizations, (USFF, COMSUBLANT NAVSEA 08, Naval Shipyards, CNRSE, U.S. Coast Guard), and Civil Authorities.
Experience in NNPP radiological Emergency Planning developing and implementing plans and policies.
Experience initiating, planning, and coordinating complex projects involving military commands and developing detailed emergency response procedures.
Experience preparing and reviewing reactor accident drill scenarios.
Experience interpreting and applying policies, regulations, directives, instructions and other procedures governing emergency planning.
You will be required to have functional knowledge of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) sufficient to develop and maintain Navy emergency plans and procedures.
Experience coordinating and evaluating public affairs response and news conference preparations and exercises.
