You will serve as a Supply Technician (OA) in the Installation, Logistics & Environmental Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION YUMA.

Duties

You will perform a wide range of duties in the acquisition and accounting of material and services for the organization. You will ensure supply support for mission accomplishment. Maintains contact with requestors and other offices on program requirements for supplies and material. You will contact requestors, as necessary, to coordinate, clarify or obtain additional information You will research data to compile recurring and nonrecurring reports. Answer non-technical questions and refers customers to the appropriate personnel. You will ensure that proper measures are used to protect the credit card/white card from fraud, waste, and misuse.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license and maintain on-base driving privileges once obtained.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • Incumbent may be required to report for duty during destructive weather conditions such as, but not limited to high winds, extreme heat, extremely dusty conditions.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as masks, gloves, goggles, hearing protection and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • The employee is not subject to random drug testing, but may be tested for reasonable suspicion or if involved in an on-the-job related accident.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in the performance of supply management functions such as accountability, receiving, issuing, and/or inventorying equipment and supplies; and operating a word processor and preparing professional correspondence and reports. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

4 years above high school
