Duties

You will utilize data management systems for creating reports to monitor status of work and productivity of work forces. You will conduct training on technical subjects, pertaining to the repairs and maintenance of facilities, structures, and equipment of the assigned zone, as required. You will schedule all work weekly considering manpower availability, customer and management priorities, equipment availability and location. You will maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the Master Labor Agreement and assure compliance with the Master Labor Agreement in order to ensure workforce productivity. You will investigate work related problems to identify causes and implement corrective actions that can be taken within the limits of incumbent's authority. You will adjust plans, assignments, and methods as necessary to accomplish the work as effectively and economically as feasible. You will serve as the technical and administrative supervisor over the assigned branch, exercising full supervisory responsibility over work operations.

  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • During destructive weather conditions such as, but not limited to ice, and snowstorms, high winds, and hurricanes, incumbent shall be required to report to duty.
  • Incumbent will also be subject to call back for work during off duty hours when an emergency arises.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to Lead or Supervise- Planning work for subordinates; establishing deadlines, and priorities; reviewing work of other for completion; and executing operational administrative functions such as scheduling and approving leave, and issuing performance appraisals.
