You will serve as an AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (GENERAL) of FLTREADCEN EAST.
Duties
You will determine overall condition of electrical systems of aircraft, engines, and components.
You will inspect proposed work sites to obtain specific requirements and data (e.g., dimensions, location, structure condition, equipment, utilities).
You will use precision measurement equipment, instruments, special test fixtures, or accessories to produce critical measurements.
You will interpret and analyze maintenance and operations policies and requirements issued by higher authorities.
You will troubleshoot maintenance tools to determine the extent of wear.
You will complete maintenance material examination and evaluation to prevent unnecessary work, production delays, or excessive costs to the finished product.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision 1) Examining the condition of an aircraft and their electronic, defense, airborne fire control radar, computerized and interrelated components to determine the extent of repairs and rework. 2) Reviewing log books to obtain hours flown, location and condition of operations to help determine the depth of overhaul 3) determining which components meet quality standards and which can be left on the aircraft as well as which components need to be removed. 4) Communicating orally and in writing for the purpose of preparing justification on problems associated with the examination and evaluation process to high level management.
