You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP. WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPT, WEAPONS SYS & PROJECT ENGINEERING DIV, WEAPONS PROJECT MGMT BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will oversee and manage the technical aspect of production products within the TPO’s portfolio.
You will coordinate, collaborate, guide, and oversee highly complex product line reviews and tasks
You will maintain ownership of TPO production products and will receive/define production plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality with TPO leadership
You will engage with the Prime Contractor, Suppliers, and sponsor to achieve mutual goals
You will provide requirements definition, support the requirements verification, and identify the program production and manufacturing risks.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11/12) or pay band (DS-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Leading diverse technical and support teams to ensure project milestones are met while supporting multiple sponsors objectives and schedule requirements; 2) Experience pertaining to overall management, direction, control, and integration of program efforts involving support and funding for ARM procurement and modification efforts; 3) Utilizing knowledge of business, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities; 4) Demonstrated experience related to requirement definition, requirement verification and program risks; 5) Planning multi-year schedules and developing budgets to meet program technical milestones for sponsor execution planning; 6) Developing and mentoring support and technical staff to support ARM and command requirements for skilled program and technical personnel.
