You will serve as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Navy Munitions Command Pacific, CONUS West Division (NMCPAC CWD, Detachment of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE, CA.
Duties
You will function as a Quality Assurance Specialist who along with the QA Lead provides oversight, inspections and audits on programs at the detachment.
You will ensure all applicable government civilian (DOD) and government contractor personnel are trained in all aspects of quality assurance and all documentation is current and up-to-date.
You will assist the facility manager duties and all physical security duties related to ordnance.
You will perform required inventories, inspections, and audits on magazines, ready service lockers, tenant commands and ordnance assembly buildings.
You will perform initial investigation on potential inventory discrepancies to determine if actual inventory gains/losses exist.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Revising, reviewing, and submitting standard operating procedures for approval; 2) Ensuring that the inspection, inventories, processing and handling of ordnance are conducted in accordance with procedures; 3) Conducting necessary audits on magazines, ready service lockers, tenant commands and ordnance assembly buildings; 4) Analyzing data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality or verification program: and 5) Preparing technical reports documenting inspections, testing results, or deficiencies and recommending corrective action.
