About the Position:
Serve as the Administrative Officer in the Executive Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (ASA), Manpower & Reserve Affairs (M&RA). The position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Provide advice and recommendations to leadership on the credible orchestration of events and activities.
Establish schedules for recurring events to complete timely staff actions.
Provide administrative control over an array of protocol, travel and training activities.
Complete a variety of administrative tasks such as: briefings, handbooks, reports, slides, forms.
Evaluate/integrate all elements of manpower management.
Provide concise records management for the organization's records management program.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 10% of the time.

GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes assist with staff integration, taskings, staff coordination, and/or dissemination of information to ensure priorities are met within established deadlines; provide administrative assistance and support for all administrative operations; and prepare a variety written products such as: reports, briefings, memoranda, reports and/or slides for the executive office. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes oversee all administrative requirements such as: staff coordination, high priority taskings, and/or the dissemination of information for the executive office; draft new or revised policies for use in meeting mission objectives; review incoming and outgoing correspondence to ensure procedural compliance/ conformance to internal guidance; and present information both formally and informally via oral and written means. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
