You will serve as a Lead Supply Project Manager for Navy ERP at the NAVSUP Business Systems Center. #LI-NAVSUPBSC

Duties

You will manage vendor and civilian teams in the execution of Navy ERP projects. You will provide status on plans, progress, risks and issues to the Navy ERP PMO and to your direct chain of command. You will manage projects to the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) standard. You will utilize Agile management (primary) and Waterfall (as needed - secondary). You will coordinate projects between team members and other PMs (Project Manager) in their assigned areas. You will determine the strategic and tactical planning/execution of the design, analysis, build-out, and testing of all components involved in projects. You will manage program funds, set schedules and determines the course of action for all efforts. You will significantly impact the DoN's delivery of the Navy ERP solution.

  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Project Manager level I/II within 12 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, demonstrating mastery knowledge of, and skill in applying, policy and planning concepts/practices and interrelations of multiple IT disciplines sufficient to manage an organization's Information System (IS)/Information Technology (IT) programs and support resources. Specialized experience must demonstrate performing duties such as the following: 1. Setting priorities and determining project requirements and strategies to effectively monitor project progress and accomplish project goals and milestones; 2. Knowledge of project management processes, methodologies, tools and techniques; 3. Developing plans and strategies to meet program/project goals and objectives; 4. Ability to independently manage projects with a large number of stakeholders inside and outside of the NAVSUP command; 5. Skills in problem solving and risk management principles and processes. 6. Interpersonal skills for delivering high caliber customer service and team collaborations, providing technical advice, guidance and recommendations to management.
