The primary purpose to serve as a special access programs (SAP) industrial security specialist supporting the AFLCMC/WAC Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO) team.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and executes Special Access Program (SAP) security for assigned directorate programs/activities, its facilities and acquisition program systems, that support advanced or special programs and SCI material, at contractor and other government locations.
Performs duties as an SAP Industrial Security Specialist supporting the GSSO office in all security disciplines to include Information Security, Operations Security, Physical Security, Industrial Security, Communications Security, etc. Will technically and administratively support GSSOs for assigned programs/activity as defined in AF and DOD guidance.
Assists in maintaining security oversight of special access programs. Assists in developing operating standards and training for Special Access Program facilities and provides expertise to division level personnel on interpretation, clarification, and implementation of SAP directives.
Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various oversight organizations as well as government customers and contracted organizations. This is an onsite position with only adhoc/situational telework.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Expertise in program protection, physical, system, information, industrial, personnel, operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas.
2. Extensive knowledge of organization's missions, functions, and structure to ensure effective implementation of oversight of special programs security concepts, principles and practices.
3. Expertise in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Center Commander.
4. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately.
5. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
6. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and purchase of USAF acquisition programs and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices.
