International & Special Programs is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to join our team. Incumbent is the International Chief for International & Special Programs (ISP) Division in the Industrial Security (IS) Directorate. The purpose of the position is to oversee and lead day-to-day execution of international programs mission. Incumbent considers directions and materials issued by higher authority and ensures necessary instructions are provided to team members and field support elements.
Duties
As a INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Serves as the International Chief supervisory Team Lead overseeing and leading the day-to-day execution of international programs mission.
- Provide direction to and support team members concerning international programs mission area accomplishment.
- Serve as the international programs subject matter expert.
- Provide authoritative advice and consultation to subordinates, other team leaders, divisional leaders, and senior executives on all aspects of SAP and international security programs oversight and policy execution.
- Represent the agency on assigned working groups and on other committees,
conferences, and meetings.
- Provide direction and leadership to a cadre of security specialists including contract support personnel concerning a specific task.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes: Providing advice and guidance to division staff members for all matters relating to Special Access Programs (SAP) and international security programs; Applying all aspects of International, NATO and SAP security to include principles contained in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), International and SAP security directives, instructions, and manuals; Developing security principles with special emphasis in the area of government security oversight at industrial locations.
