Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As an Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Ensuring compliance and consistency of critical mission systems with the IT Security Program, enhancing interoperability and integration for business applications and IT infrastructure compliance and regulations related to cloud computing and cybersecurity.
Assisting program areas in preparing annual security assessments and various security audits required by Federal mandate.
Designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards, including FedRAMP and FISMA requirements.
Working closely with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to gather cloud requirements and translate them into secure and scalable cloud solutions.
Developing and maintaining comprehensive cloud security policies, standards, and guidelines that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Regularly conducting security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications: Must have IT-related expereicne demonstrating each of the four following competencies listed below:

Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications: In addition to the basic qualification requirement above, you must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3)of the following:
Administering the enterprise architecture, cloud-based technologies and/or agency IT infrastructure.
Formulating a range of IT data management principles, methodologies and/or techniques.
Coordinating information security assurance principles, and/or practices in the delivery of data management services.
Researching and recommending the implementation of emerging technologies.
