About the Position:
This position is with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) HQ, Office of Chief of Staff Executive Services Division.
This position is not covered by a bargaining unit.
Duties
Develops policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards based on GSA, DoD, and organizational guidance for forms management and electronic publishing products/program (EPP).
Conducts surveys and research projects providing advisory services on a variety of administrative and editorial issues which impact on DoDEA.
Reviews, revises, provide guidance, and edits all DoDEA correspondence and publications to make them more coherent and readable and to ensure that prescribed standards regarding style, format, grammar, spelling, and punctuation are met.
Reviews, analyzes, and/or designs correspondence control and tracking systems (e.g., technically assigning and reviewing the work of the clerk; working with the Information Technology Division to design more effective automated approaches
Provides adequate internal administrative supports, as needed, for the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Performs special projects which involve gathering data or information, coordinating joint efforts for integrated work efforts, etc. Prepares visual aids for presentations and a wide variety of reports.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: - Conducts surveys and research projects providing advisory services on a variety of administrative and editorial issues which impact on the organization;Performs as first line of response for those with questions or problems with correspondence preparation;Reviews, revises, provide guidance, and edits all correspondence and publications to make them more coherent and readable and to ensure that prescribed standards regarding style, format, grammar, spelling, and punctuation are met. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-09.
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
