You will serve as a Painter in the Public Works Department Pensacola of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Duties
You will read and apply directions that relate to the mixture, use and application of various kinds of coating materials, solvents, and agents, such as paint, varnish, epoxy, Teflon, etc.
You will utilize trade tools and equipment such as brushes, rollers, spray guns, trowels, screeds, etc.
You will apply coating materials so that surfaces meet match, texture, decorative, thickness, and level requirements.
You will apply extensive knowledge and skill in surface preparation.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- You may be required to obtain and maintain a current Respirator Certification.
- You may be required to report for duty or held in duty status to provide support before, during and/or after special emergency situations, such as destructive weather, disasters, or periods of increased security threat.
- You may occasionally be assigned duties requiring entrance and work inside confined spaced. Training and certification will be provided.
