Duties
Serves as a co-equal Deputy to the Military Commander of a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation Industrial Support Activity (ISA) co-located with an Air Force Air Logistics Complex (ALC).
Provides direct logistics and customer service support for DLA ISA mission and is responsible for overall development of logistics and supply management strategies with key suppliers.
Provides direction and integration of a wide range of enterprise logistics, technical and quality, engineering and supply management functions in support of programmed depot maintenance for major weapons systems.
Responsible for the uninterrupted flow of operational direction/guidance to ensure consistent, world-class customer services and ensures the integrity and continuity of operations.
Manages all supply functions, USAF and DLA, as well as other government material providers like GSA in support of the Complex's mission.
Responsible for developing Customer Operations program processes, resolving critical problems or issues related to DLA Aviation Retail policy application and coordinates major program functions within the Command.

Qualifications
To qualify for an Operations Officer, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
Managing ISA supply and logistics management functions.
Developing and implementing new approaches to modify/improve supply management processes.
Providing customer service and support for various weapon systems.
Developing supply management and logistics strategies with key suppliers.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
