The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Serves the organization as an expert analyst engaged in assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of major complex management processes and systems.
Compiles a variety of reports, providing status of assigned actions.
Representatives from higher headquarters within the organizational chain and communicate project or program results at high levels within and outside the organization.
Participation in gathering, verifying and analyzing information, identifying issues, and developing recommendations to resolve substantive problems of effectiveness and efficiency of work operations in a program or project.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Three-year probationary period may be required.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

To qualify at the DE-03 you must meet the specialized experience below:
Specialized experience is defined as 1) knowledge of center/program management operations strategic planning and oversight 2) evaluating programs to determine efficiency and effectiveness 3) Formulating and coordinating input to execution planning documents and reports 4) Planning and organizing work to support strategic plans at the enterprise level. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
