Duties
You will implement budgets, policies, and procedures for an aviation program.
You will formulate acquisition and contracting goals, objectives, strategies, and plans for an aircraft system program.
You will adjust plans and operations to account for shortfalls in budget, manpower, or other resources.
You will develop acquisition strategies and plans for aircraft programs.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to
CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for
extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure
organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of
tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a
local or command decision.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened
personal responsibility for advancing government ethics.
You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of
Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Developing and administering an air operations budget which includes funds provided for operations and maintenance of airfield services and maintenance of associated aviation equipment;
Writing and editing statements justifying and supporting funding requests;
Monitoring the use and rate of expenditure of budgeted funds through continuing dialogue with stakeholders; and
Coordinating airfield operating hours and quiet hours to support tenant and transient aircraft.
