About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Plans and Policy Directorate, U.S. Southern Command, Key West, FL 33040 J5.
Duties
Conduct joint planning to prepare concepts of operations, operations plan, inputs to campaign plan for the Joint Operations Area.
Conduct analysis, provide recommendations and communicate regional subject matter expertise to senior leaders on all operations, activities, or initiatives within the Joint Operations Area.
Plan, coordinate, synchronize, and monitor implementation of plans and initiatives with U.S. Interagency, U.S. Embassy, and Partner Nation officials.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be cleared for, and when granted, maintain a Top-Secret Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
- This position may perform frequent Temporary Duty Travel (TDY), up to 10% to CONUS and overseas locations via airplane, train and automobile.
