About the Position: The position of Lead Antiterrorism Specialist will serve as the lead for the Garrison Antiterrorism (AT) program in support of the Force Protection (FP) mission.
Duties
Maintain the development, implementation, and operation of an integrated Antiterrorism (AT)/Force Protection (FP) program.
Conduct comprehensive review and analysis of the Antiterrorism plan, assessments, and survey reports for compliance with existing policies, procedures and supporting documents.
Coordinate implementation of Antiterrorism Plans.
Oversee the Force Protection Fusion Cell and Antiterrorism/Force Protection Working Group and advise the Crisis Management Team.
Recommend modification to existing Mission Essential Vulnerable Area and High Risk Target structures to reduce vulnerability to terrorist attack.
Review construction projects to ensure they meet Antiterrorism engineering security requirements.
Provide leadership to personnel within the Force Protection office.
Requirements
- Business Travel is 20%.
- A one year probationary period may be required.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing Antiterrorism/Force Protection plans that provide guidance on preventing and/or reacting to terrorist attacks, maintaining an Antiterrorism program to ensure adherence to established regulations, and planning Antiterrorism exercises to include assessments such as risk management, criticality assessments and vulnerability assessments and overseeing execution of Antiterrorism exercises. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
