You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (OA) in the BUSINESS MANAGEMENT LINE of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.

Duties

You will identify problems with collected data, resolve conflicts and prepare summary reports. You will serve as a recorder for meetings, selection boards or bid openings. You will assist in the preparation of presentations and briefings. You will assist with management studies by gathering and researching regulations. You will assist in maintaining office management.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.

Qualifications

This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must be able to type at least 40 wpm. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using computer systems and available software application programs to provide clerical and administrative support; 2) Assisting in planning, organizing, and coordinating office schedules; 3) Assisting with the requisition/purchase of office supplies; and 4) Providing support to personnel with various administrative tasks including preparation of correspondence, review of invoicing and payments, resolving travel-related issues, including travel orders, travel claims, and various administrative functions of the current travel system, (i.e. Defense Travel System (DTS).
