You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISSTANT in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION, CALL CENTER of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Duties
You will receive and process customer service requests for maintenance and repair of physical facilities by telephone call and email.
You will evaluate requests and determine if it should be categorized as planned, unplanned, routine, urgent or emergency work.
You will create work orders in the computerized asset management system and provide the customer with a work order number for reference.
You will review completed service requests.
You will run error reports as directed and flag all questionable data entries.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
FOR GS-7 POSITIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving and processing service requests; 2) Dispatching work orders and following up on completion of work; 3) Assigning correct labor/craft codes to customer work orders by the various trades at NAVFAC SW; 4) Classifying the status of all unplanned service request; 5) Entering work orders into MAXIMO to ensure the methods used are technically accurate and in compliance with established instructions, methods, procedures, and deadlines; and 6) Reviewing reports for problems, errors or missing data and validating processed work orders.
FOR GS-6 POSITIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with receiving and processing customer service requests for maintenance and repair of physical facilities; 2) Using Microsoft Office Suite programs to create/generate reports; 3) Helping validate processed work orders; and 4) Having knowledge of Facilities and Maintenance.
