You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (OA) in the METRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. GS 6 SALARY: $50,246.00 - $65,322.00 PER ANNUM GS 7 SALARY: $55,836.00 - $72,588.00 PER ANNUM

Duties

You will identify problems with collected data, resolve conflicts and prepare summary reports. You will serve as a recorder for meetings, selection boards or bid openings. You will assist in the preparation of presentations and briefings. You will assist with management studies by gathering and researching regulations. You will assist in maintaining office management.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and composing a wide variety of correspondence and reports utilizing various automation software (e.g. Microsoft office suite, windows, databases) to provide clerical and administrative support; 2) Assisting with the requisition/purchase of office supplies using Government Purchase Card (GPC); and 3) Providing support to personnel with various administrative tasks including preparation of correspondence, review of invoicing and payments, resolving travel-related issues, including travel orders, travel claims, and various administrative functions of the current travel system; and 4) Providing routine customer support when receiving and answering in person requests, telephone inquiries and emails. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Assisting in creating records, scheduling meetings, and maintaining office calendars using office automation programs (e.g. Microsoft office suite, windows, databases); 2) Using office procedures to perform administrative responsibilities (i.e. mail program, form development, directive management, tabular reports, etc.); and 3) Providing general and/or technical information to phone inquiries and emails; and 4) Assisting in the preparation for meetings or site visits by assembling necessary records, reports, briefing materials and documents required for travel arrangements. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
