This vacancy is for a Program Manager position in the Associate Director for Field Operations, Field Division located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.

Duties
Provides leadership, direction and coordination of the assigned areas which are engaged in researching, planning, and implementing budget operations.
Provides Administrative and Technical supervision to individuals engaged in performing a variety of complex duties and responsibilities.
Analyze financial reports, develop cost estimates, and create budget plans to plan program expenditures, monitor costs, and write financial plans.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.To qualify at the GS-15 level:SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service or specialized experience defined as: one year of professional program management experience which required analytical ability, independent judgment, discretion, and substantial knowledge for managing the program, staff and resources of the Division. Experience and knowledge are required for planning, directing, and evaluating all FLD Division programs and activities, including exercising managerial authority and oversight over FLD Branches, staff, and contractors. Experience in supervision of subordinate staff to provide technical and administrative leadership using professional knowledge in the assessment of problems of critical importance to your organization. Experience in researching, planning, and implementing the use of personnel, fiscal, and contractual resources while minimizing risk to the successful completion of the census operations in Field Division.
