This position is in the Boise VA Medical Center (VAMC), Boise, Idaho under the Health Administration Service (HAS). The primary function of this position is to promote and ensure Veterans and Clinical staff understand and can access Connected Health Care Modalities to facilitate timely and effective communication with Veterans.

Duties

Assists in developing, refining, maintaining, and documenting Connected Health internal control policies and procedures. Assists by collecting, developing, implementing, and documenting data for operational decisions. Execute marketing and communication plans for target audiences. Collecting and analyzing data on the impact of interventions on clinical and business workflows and processes. Assists with development of marketing campaigns to inform target audiences of programs and services. Assists in the creation and dissemination of promotional materials. Uses the internet to maximize outreach efforts. Conducts required coordination and obtains clearances as required for Release of information. Incumbent must have functional proficiency with Microsoft Office, suite. Manages multiple, projects by planning and organizing activities for all Connected Care modalities, to include, My Health Vet and other VA mobile, apps. Process, develops, and implements strategic plans and objectives for the enhancement, maintenance, and future advancement of operations. Works one-on-one with Veterans, Veteran Caregivers, and clinical staff to promote and expand mobile and web-based Connected Health Care modalities. Develop and implement educational program, track and analyze utilization of modalities, and provide feed back and guidance. Assists with executing communication strategy. Communications strategies include outreach activities, educating staff regarding the My Health Vet program functionality and clinical/nonclinical use of the Secure Messaging tool, outreach efforts such as face-to-face and over the phone help to Veterans in areas of My Health Vet enrollment In-Person Authentication, Opt-in to Secure Messaging, training, and problem resolution. Deliver present aliens to all levels of service organizations, family members and caregivers. Assist in enrolling Veterans in Connected Health programs including authentication of specific accounts. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet time-in-grade and specialized experience within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement, 07/26/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties the Program Support Assistant at the full performance level (GS-6), and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-5) in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Providing customer support, including telephone calls and in-person support of hospital staff and patients. Must have excellent customer service skills. Assisting facility employees with program access, and problem-solving when veterans need assistance accessing programs. Skill in the use of a variety of computer software systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other software applications. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position: CommunicationsCustomer ServiceInterpersonal SkillsTechnology Management Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work, however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
