As an Immigration Services Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations or analyzing and resolving problems with effectiveness and efficiency.
Duties
Serves as a senior expert Immigration Services Analyst under the direct supervision of the Assistant Center Director, Analysis and Integrity Division (AID) and assists in the overall management and technical direction of the AID program.
Provides guidance training, strategic program oversight, and client services to management, ensuring compliance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS), headquarters, and center policies and practices.
Implements long- and short-term planning strategies to optimize effectiveness, develops center programs, policies, and strategic planning for issues affecting National Benefits Center (NBC) and Field Office Directorate (FOD).
Serves as lead NBC consultant in development of FOD-driven data products and projects.
Acts as liaison with inquiries from internal and external customers and stakeholders, including various USCIS offices, customers, contractors, and other government agencies.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/29/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 07/29/2024.
The vacancy announcement shows the location to be Lee's Summit, MO; however, the National Benefits Center has two sites, Lee's Summit, MO and Overland Park, KS. The determination as to what location the position is assigned to has not been made at this time.
GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Conducted studies, analyzed findings and making recommendations on substantive operating systems and/or programs that required applying knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques.
Developed, evaluated, and improved approaches for analyzing, developing, and presenting authoritative information or analysis on complicated matters.
Wrote and prepared briefings for supervisors and executive management related to changes in organizational programs and operations.
