Duties

Primary responsibility for the overall maintenance, control, and administration of a comprehensive preventive maintenance control program and automated data system, Facilities Equipment Maintenance System (FEM). Develops, codes, and updates a status profile, history,supporting technical library, and related maintenance procedures for equipment and/or facility features from the time of purchase until retired orreplaced. Implements and monitors system modifications and revises procedures to optimize system andcomputer systems integration. Assists in developing graphs for various statistical or comparison reports for current and pastyear. Utilizes FEM to issue and schedule routine preventive maintenance (PM), repair and replacement of all equipment and machinery. Performs administrative duties such as time and attendance, processing travel orders/vouchers, creating training requests, creating purchaserequests, and creating overtime reports. Monitors annual and sick leave usage as well asovertime and provides information to supervisor on leave balances and usage. Performs monthly administrative reports such as vehicle usage, travel, training and leave usage. Works withproject safety personnel to coordinate use of FEM with existing Activity Hazard Analysis (AHAs). Manages the development and implementation of the Corps of Engineers Safety Occupational Health Management System.

Minimum Qualification for GS-05: General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes 1) Entering data into an automated system; and 2) Assisting with preparation of a variety of reports, charts, graphs, or correspondence. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.ORCombination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. Minimum Qualifications for GS-07: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Preparing a variety of reports, charts, graphs, or correspondence; and 2) Using automated systems to record time and attendance, travel, maintenance request, and budget functions and 3) Managing or developing the implementation of safety policy and procedures; and 4) Using automated systems committing funds, performing acquisitions and reconciliations within fiscal policy utilizing credit cards and service contracts.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Superior Academic Achievement: Successful completion of all the requirements for a bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement. In order to be creditable under this provision, Superior Academic Achievement must have been gained in a curriculum that is qualifying for the position to be filled, such as that identified in Education above. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
