This position is located at Departmental Offices, Assistant Secretary for Management/Chief Financial Officer in the Office of Financial Management (OFM). As a Supervisory Program Analyst (Deputy Associate Director), you will be responsible for the overall formulation, justification, execution, analysis and administrative support of the plans and programs related to the financial operations for the Departmental Offices organization.
Duties
The following are some duties of the Supervisory Program Analyst (Deputy Associate Director):
Exercises administrative and technical control over the work of staff responsible for performing a variety of financial processes including budget formulation, financial plan development, budget execution, and administrative support functions
Responsible for the overall formulation, justification, execution, analysis and administrative support of the plans and programs related to the financial operations for the Departmental Offices organization.
Initiates communication strategies and fosters positive working relationships with internal and external partners to achieve the goals of the office.
Responsible for overseeing and developing program objectives for financial management and administrative support including provisions for measuring accomplishments within OFM.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Executing or formulating budgets; AND
Leading teams or workgroups across an organization to develop financial reports, policies, or other cross organizational strategic administrative objectives; AND
Developing briefings or presentations explaining financial or data analysis of resource management decisions for senior leadership.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
