You will serve as a AUDIVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the Visual Information Directorate of NAVMEDSUP DET BETHESDA MD.
SALARY GS-09 $68,405-$88,926
SALARY GS-11 $82,764-$107,590
Duties
You will analyze and review scripts before broadcasting or recording.
You will establish long range shooting schedules involving numerous shooting locales.
You will review site survey and approve locations.
You will edit a wide variety of complex audiovisual productions, including sound effects, music, narration, dialogue and visual effects.

Qualifications
FOR THE GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience assisting with analyzing scripts to define sets, camera angles, and lighting and to arrange for the production of graphics and other visual material needed.
Experience using all phases of audiovisual editing from inception to completion, and skill in modifying or adapting standard practices and procedure.
Experience using a wide variety of production equipment, such as waveform monitoring, vector scopes, digital effects generators, video switchers, and processing equipment to monitor and control the technical quality.
Experience assisting with directing live broadcasts of unrehearsed interactive videoconference or radio and television program.
Experience editing audio and visual footage into a final finished presentation.
FOR THE GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience planning and carrying out the stages necessary for processes, methodologies, personnel, equipment related to audiovisual production.
Experience producing, developing and coordinating video crew and talent schedules for audiovisual productions.
Experience implementing administrative and logistical arrangements.
Experience utilizing an array of used sources of audio-visual talent and special effects, such as casting lists music libraries, stock footage, and postproduction services, to acquire the elements needed for a completed audiovisual production.
Experience working within program objectives and directing skills to direct the production activities of a small television production crew and cast.
Experience operating video cameras, switchers, character-generators, nonlinear computer editing systems, lighting equipment and remote controlled cameras.
Experience managing the Set-up and operations of audio public address equipment.

Education
FOR THE GS-09:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.

FOR GS-11:

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
