Duties
You will serve as an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN) in the Special Projects IT/IA Branch (Code 7452) of the Electromagnetic Signatures Technology Division (Code 74) NAV SURFACE WAR CENTER, MD.
You will perform IA related customer support functions including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, backup, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements for the Network Environment (NE).
You will provide end user support for all IA-related applications.
You will maintain network operating systems software and hardware to comply with IA requirements.
You will ensure that hardware, software, data, and facility resources are archived, sanitized, or disposed of in a manner consistent with system security plans and requirements.
You will obtain and maintain IA certification appropriate to position.
You will propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
You will assist with the management of security aspects of the information system and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.
You will perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation, verifying proper system configuration.
You will review and develop supporting IA security documentation.
Requirements

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code System Administrator, proficiency level, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: executing Information Technology (IT) projects (e.g. IA practices, system security etc.) through planning or coordinating the installation/implementation of hardware, software or operating systems to meet system administration requirements.
