You will serve as a CASUALTY ASSISTANCE CALLS COORDINATOR in the CASUALTY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM of COMNAVREG SE JAX.

Duties

You will collaborate with a casualty assistance calls officer (CACO) and primary next of kin (PNOK) to resolve issues following the death of a service member You will organize and plan meetings to determine customer requirements. You will coordinate project activities to ensure objectives are accomplished within timeframes and according to procedures. You will brief others on ceremony program and protocol.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Assist the Program Manager in the execution of the Casualty Assistance Calls Program (CACP); 2)Reviews and provides guidance to all commands in the AOR regarding DOD and DON directives on Casualty Assistance issues; 3)Identifies systemic and process problems and recommends corrective action; 4)Monitors program performance, recommends corrective actions, and tracks receipt of required reports; 5)Monitors active Missing in Action (MIA) cases; 6) Maintains personal contact with individual CACOs; 7)Assigns CACO for NOK of MIA cases for repatriation of remains; 8)Assists in control of Mass Casualty Command Center; 9)Serves as the Assistant CACO Training Instructor.. Education

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
