This position is located at Fort Riley Automotive Skills Center. This position is eligible for the NAF benefits package and leave accrual. Duties

Provide technical assistance/training to patrons in the performance of self help automotive repairs ranging from simple to complex, including overhaul of engines, transmissions, and bodywork. Inform patrons of shop policies and provides instruction on safe and efficient operation of all equipment and tools. Provide individual and class instruction to military personnel and other eligible patrons. Develops lesson plans and prepares training aids and other instructional materials. Compiles data for reports and writes reports as necessary. Provide technical guidance and leadership to employees, trains new employees, and directs work while providing task instruction. Collects fees, safeguards funds and equipment, and orders equipment/supplies.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and split shifts.
