You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the LIVE VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTIVE TRAINING DIVISION, RANGE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV.

Duties

You will perform as the Program Support Specialist at the Virginia Beach sites. You will perform duties in the area of facilities, property, security, and safety in support of the Tactical Training Range (TTR) program. You will liaise with the Corona Division and host site competency leads for each program area to ensure program compliance, to identify any program deficiencies, and assist with NSWC and host audits and recommends associated process improvements. You will provide analysis and evaluation to ensure the compliance and effectiveness of the program to meet operational goals and objectives. You will develop TTR standard operating procedures and recommend updates to current procedures. You will perform regular program audits, review and analyze data and makes recommendations for improvements to improve efficiency and operations. You will provide/analyze data in support of internal/external investigations.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 pay band (GS-09/10 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing requirements and standard operating procedures related to security (i.e., physical, personnel), facilities safety, and/or property management to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

A. Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. -OR
B.
Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. -OR
C.
Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled. -OR
D. Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above.
