The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision and technical expertise in integrating all security disciplines into program security efforts to mitigate risks of compromise, unauthorized disclosure or damage to weapon systems, program/system information, and its components.
Duties
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
Serves as within an acquisition organization as functional and technical expert for all security and information protection matters of the organization, normally at the Division or Program Office level, responsible for leading the direct coordination with multiple organizations, program offices, defense contractors, MAJCOM and higher headquarters and other DoD and Federal agency security, intelligence and program management stakeholders.
Administers through subordinates, portfolio Program Protection Planning efforts.
Represents organization with DoD, USAF, HQ AFMC and various Center organizations as well as government customers and contracted organizations.

- Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification conferrals are required within 2 years-
- -of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DoD Security Accreditation and Certification and AFI 36-2645, Security Professional Certification and Development.-

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, administrative and management positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience includes: Expert in program protection, system security, information, industrial, personnel and operations security concepts, principles, and practices to plan and implement security programs in these areas. Expert ability in developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program for the Center Commander. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and accurately. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. Knowledge of government contractual practices and requirements for development and fielding of weapon systems and/or supporting programs/projects. Must be familiar with Defense Industrial Base security organization, operations, and management practices. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
