This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Operations (CG-DCO), Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC), Office of Data & Analytics (ODA), Data Integration Division (DID), Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist to directly support the Data Integration Division (DID) Chief of the USCG. DID directly supports the USCG integrated data environment and works and collaborates the USCG ODA Data Strategy and Governance (DSG), Data Analytics Division (DAD) and USCG’s Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) divisions, who serve across USCG IT and data management communities.
Requirements

- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
- Must meet time-in-grade requirement before closing date.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-13 level, applicants should have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal, State, or local government or equivalent public or private sector experience. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to the line of work.
Specialized experience includes the following:
Applicant MUST meet ALL 4 conditions.
Database management concepts and techniques;
Project management principles and methods;
data quality, data mining, database programming and warehousing methods; and
agency-level IT infrastructure.
To qualify for the GS-14 level, applicants should have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal, State, or local government or equivalent public or private sector experience. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to the line of work.
Specialized experience includes the following:

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

NOTE: Education cannot be substituted at this grade level.
