The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the AFGSC Intelligence Formal Training Specialist, providing guidance and oversight to the AFGSC intelligence Formal Trainin Unit (IFTU) for curriculum development, as well as being the focal point for B-21, Sentinel, and B-52 academic development, and all striker intelligence professionals formal training and professional development.
Duties
Responsible for managing a Formal Training program that will develop the intelligence manpower throughout the command. Prepares and presents AFGSC requirements for Technical School course and upgrade training development at USAF Wide Utilization and Training Workshops (UT&W).
Coordinates with AFGSC/A2, academic instructors, SMEs, field unit and AETC/A2 leadership on student performance. Promotes innovative curriculum development and delivery practices by applying knowledge of advanced multi-media technology and appropriate computer software strategies to introduce new program objectives, concepts, techniques, and methodology to prepare for future training challenges.
Maintains professional and technical proficiency and accomplishes special projects related to specialty area, to include staff assistance visits to various training activities. Attends conferences, workshops, and briefings to remain current in assigned functional areas and gain information that can be incorporated into courses.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Sensitive Security Clearance with access to sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Non-Disclosure agreement must be signed.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of a wide range of instructional concepts, methods, and techniques required to develop and plan a variety of difficult and complex courses associated with teaching advanced technical systems or subject-matter areas. Knowledge of the methods, principles, practices, and programs related to curriculum development, instructional techniques, training resources, and test and measurement. Knowledge of DoD, AF, and major command directives, concepts, procedures, guidance, and policy as they relate to the area of responsibility. Knowledge of service-based occupations and the associated training/certification requirements for military and civilian personnel. Knowledge of standard analytical and evaluative techniques to analyze training requirements, plan for and develop training materials, evaluate training effectiveness, and solve problems relating to training issues. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of the principles and practical methods, techniques, and tools of instruction to teach a variety of students with a range of differences such as diverse ages, backgrounds, and levels of interest.
2. Knowledge of the Air Force Global Strike Command Mission at a practical level to intelligence analysis principles and processes.
3. Knowledge of Nuclear policy, Nuclear weapons and effects, strategic bombers, ICBMs, intel support to wings to include Mission planning cell, both nuclear and conventional missions, intelligence software used for missions.
4. Skill in accomplishing special training studies and projects; course writing; test and measurement principles, techniques, and objectives.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
6. Ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
