You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the WEAPON SYSTEMS INTEGRATION SECTION, SYSTEM ENGINEERING and INTEGRATION BRANCH of CPS PROGRAM OFFICE.
This position is part of the Department of Defense Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project. The NH-4 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Duties
You will coordinate and provide leadership for the management of CPS Weapon System Certification.
You will develop, implement and oversees CPS certification processes and plans, and ensures compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
You will lead Certification and Qualification Working Group which serves as a forum to have focused discussions on certification topic.
You will establish planning and schedule milestones, such as incremental reviews of data, assessment of readiness to certify work in coordination with external stakeholders (IWS 9, PMS 500, PMS 450) on platform requirements.
You will coordinate with the Platform, Platform Combat System, Material certification, Training certification and Tactical qualification leads.
You will represent SSP/SPC in assigned areas of responsibility when interfacing with field activities, fleet representatives, contractors, and consultants to resolve complex and/or controversial issues.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading teams or managing projects to identify issues related to cost, schedule or business operations for a weapon system to meet organizational needs.
