THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION The primary purpose of the PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-9, is to plan, analyze and/ or evaluate the effectiveness of line or operating programs.

PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience conducting studies of work processes and procedures; Experience identifying problems, reviews production standards, and makes tentative recommendations for problem resolution; Experience independently evaluating the effectiveness of substantive unit programs and processes in meeting their established goals and objectives. Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work required.
