You will serve as a Supervisory Program Manager in the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Sytems Acquisition Group, Program Management Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV supporting AIRWorks as the Deputy Director.
This announcement uses the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will be responsible for implementation of Program Management policy and guidance, work processes, Training Program requirements within the NAWCAD AirWorks Portfolio.
You will promote horizontal and vertical communication/coordination, resolve conflicts via negotiation and provide solutions for NAE acquisition programs.
You will advise management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
You will identify opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS 13-14) grade level or NM-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage weapon systems acquisition; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level procurement policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
