You will serve as a Supervisory Fire Protection Specialist of NAS JRB FT WORTH.
Duties
You will develop a fire service training program to ensure response forces are trained to deliver fire protection services.
You will advise organizations on fire protection directives to maintain a fire protection program consistent with instructions.
You will implement a risk management plan in accordance with fire and emergency regulations.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Monitoring responsibilities for departments, fire prevention, training, emergency medical services, emergency communication, and safety and administrative functions; Planning and directing subordinates in preparation, and finalization through appropriate commands for the operation and maintenance of the fire emergency services department to attain the highest proficiency in prevention, suppression, and crash and structural support for base, and emergency medical aid to base personnel both civilian and military; Maintaining complete records of budget expenditures and confers with the fire chief and base comptroller on funding requirements for the department.
This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I and II, Airport Firefighter, Hazmat Technician, Hazmat IC, Fire Officer III, Fire Inspector II, Fire Instructor II & III, NIMS 100,200,300,400,700,800. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement. Also requires National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT).
The following certification, if not already held, must be obtained within 12 months of hire as mandatory condition of position: Fire Inspector III
