You will serve as a CIVILIAN HARM MITIGATION AND RESPONSE OFFICER in the G-3 Division of US MARINE CORPS FORCES, CENTRAL CMD.
Duties
You will serve as the Civilian Harm Mitigation and Response Officer (CHMRO) and the Civilian Harm Mitigation Response (CHMR) Program Manager, and Mission Assurance Assistant to the AC/S G-3.
You will collect information, records, conducts analysis, and develops CHMR-related reporting as directed and prepares COMUSMARCENT for CHMR implementation and management reviews and meetings.
You will review and assist the command in implementing CHMR policy and guidance.
You will manage the daily administrative operations of the component’s CHMR program including weekly scheduling, cross-functional collaboration and coordination, progress reporting, and correspondence with key stakeholders.
You will prepare briefings, presentations, and decision memoranda to support deliberations and decisions by senior leadership on CHMR issues.
You will work with command staff to integrate CHMR objectives in command exercise programs, as part of overall mission objectives, and processes and practices relevant to mitigating and responding to civilian harm.
You will develop, improve, or maintain civilian harm mitigation and response knowledge management for the command.
You will identify and track costs and required resources associated with maintaining and improving MARCENT capabilities.
You will develop recommendations to the Assistant Chief of Staff G-3 on operational requirements and supports activities for coordination of operations and contingency responses for MARCENT forces
You will assist in the development and review of Operational Plans, Mission Assurance planning, and exercise planning; coordinating and facilitating conferences; supporting operational assessments.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret w/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. I am willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You are required to complete the following training within prescribed timelines: Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE), Personnel Recovery 292 (Joint Personnel Recovery Coordination, Operational Risk Management.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing policy and other guidance; collecting information and conducting analysis; developing reporting and preparing the organization for implementation and management reviews; managing the daily administrative operations and develop strategic guidance; ensuring compliance with critical infrastructure protection and mission assurance initiatives; reviewing program and policies to identify training; and integrate objectives into command exercise programs in order to mitigate and respond to civilian harm.
